We believe that you need to trust us when
you use the Web Site. We take your privacy
very seriously. The following Privacy
Statement sets out, in relation to the Web
Site, what sort of information we collect
about you, how we collect that information,
how we use that information, how we protect
that information, how that information can
be corrected and/or updated and how you can
ask us to stop storing information about

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU AND HOW
WE COLLECT IT
Every time you visit the Web Site our web
server automatically logs your IP address
(if you are connected to the Internet you
will automatically have an IP address.
"213.48.49.158" is an example of an IP
address), the type of operating system that
your computer uses (for example, Microsoft
Windows® 2000) and the type of web browser
you are using to access the Web Site (for
example, Netscape Navigator or Microsoft
Internet Explorer). From that information we
can find out who your Internet service
provider is and the location from which you
are accessing the Web Site. Our web server
also logs the IP address of the web site you
visited immediately before accessing the Web
Site.
The Web Site contains certain forms for you
to complete to request further information
from us or to request customer support from
us. Those forms require you to submit your
full name (and, in the case of customer
support, the name of your company), your
e-mail address and your phone number. Those
forms also give you the opportunity to join
various mailing lists offered by Sopheon. We
store all of the information submitted by
you into the Web Site in our databases.
The Web Site also enables you to send
certain e-mails to us (for example, to
webmaster@sopheon.co.nz .
We store all of the e-mails sent by you to
us.
We currently use "cookies" on the Web Site.
Cookies are a technology which can be used
to provide you with tailored information
from the Web site. A cookie is an element of
data that a Web site can send to your
browser, which may then store it on your

as permitted or required by applicable laws,
we will not disclose or share the
information we collect about you to third
parties. We reserve the right however to
disclose or share information we collect
about you on or through the Web Site to
other companies within our group of
companies, to suppliers of services to us,
or to government agencies (such as the
police) or courts of competent authority.

YOU EXPRESSLY AND EXPLICITLY CONSENT TO
THOSE USES AND/OR TRANSFERS OF INFORMATION

HOW WE PROTECT THAT INFORMATION
All of the information we collect about you
is stored in an industry-standard secure
database (which includes pass wording and
firewalls). In addition, access to the
information held on that database is
restricted to particular employees of
Sopheon. You should note however that there
is no such thing as a perfectly secure
database. Please bear that in mind when
entering information into the Web Site.
